Cosplay Senpai!

Just what is The Cosplay Senpai Program? We’ll let Anime Expo tell you!

The Cosplay Senpai Program was created in 2014. For this program, prominent Cosplayers who are active and positive influences in the community are invited to come and promote fun, passion, and acceptance. These Cosplayers are leaders that have shown community support and outreach through positivity both at con and in the online world. They continuously portray acceptance and guidance to the younger generation of Cosplayers and can be seen as role models in the Cosplay community.

History of Video Gaming Exhibit

Hosted by VGC Foundation, this exhibit will be an interactive, fully hands-on experience showing the history of video games, a perfect fit for the Entertainment Hall! While visitors are playing any one of the 100+ gaming consoles, they will be readily able to visualize the decades-long history of console gaming since the mid 1970’s. Featuring, Atari, Sega, Sony, Microsoft, and a “One Hit Wonders” section of less popular platforms– at least one of every console model ever marketed by the featured makers is available for active play, with games ranging from iconic classics to current hits.

Want to be a part of the Masquerade Halftime?

Anime Expo is currently seeking performers (professional, semi-professional, amateur) to appear in this year’s Masquerade halftime show. We are looking for a variety of different acts to perform five minute sets. We are asking for no bands or musical performances that require extensive set up. Groups will be limited to 10 total participants (inclusive of stage ninjas and directors). Performers will receive a code that can be applied to the full value of a 1-Day Badge valid for Saturday, July 4 or used to discount a 4-day badge (maximum 10 badges per group).

Interested performers can send a video of your act to Submissions will be reviewed and all performers will be informed of their selection status as determinations are made.

Hotel Update!

As always, snagging a Hotel is an important part of the convention process. Anime Expo, in our opinion, has always done a decent job at providing hotels close the convention center, even with how spread out Los Angeles is. Hotel rooms always go quick, but according to Anime Expo, more are on the way!

We would like to announce that we will be opening up more available hotels soon! We understand that there have been some discrepancies with our reservation system and are working to fix the problem. For those of you who have received emails recently saying that your reservation has been canceled, it means that you have been taken off the wait list for that particular hotel as they are now full. There should be a link in the emails for other hotel booking options.

We appreciate everyone’s patience with this matter and we promise you that we are looking in to fixing it.

If you have any further questions regarding the hotels you can email our housing representatives at or call them at either (844) 843-6326 or (424) 702-3749 from 6am-5pm Monday-Friday. Do not fret if you are directed to voice mail. They will call you back before the end of the day!

Keep an eye out for more hotels coming soon!
