Love is in the air, friendships are in bloom, and art hangs upon the walls of The Perky Nerd. We’ve been to a few events held at the Burbank, California-based comic and coffee shop, so we could not pass up the opportunity to attend this newest event, aptly timed for Valentine’s Day!

The art show, curated by artist Patrick Ballesteros, brought in art of all shapes, mediums, and styles showcasing the fun of “Sweethearts, BFFS, and Bromances.” While providing his own art to the gallery, Patrick brought with him a slew of talented creators from the worlds of gaming, animation, comics, film and children’s Books. Check out the artists below!

The fantastic pieces that lined the walls of the Perky Nerd certainly brought in lovers of pop culture and art alike, at least 5 of the pieces on the walls being sold within the first 10 minutes we were there (and in the opening minutes of the show at that!) The piece we really wanted was already purchased but we were able to purchase a print of it and are quite content! It was great to see a large turn out early as well as people ready to buy and support the talented artists who were part of the show. Here is just a sampling of what you’ll see when you stop in!

If you’re in the area and fancy yourself some art to embrace romance this month, make sure you head to the show, grab yourself a cold brew, and peruse the art! “The Sweethearts, BFFS, and Bromances” Art Show runs through the end of February at the Perky Nerd in Burbank, California. The Perky Nerd is located at 1606 W Magnolia Blvd.

One of these Nerds doing Stuff. Can be found drinking cider on the weekends, and attempting to sing any Disney song in his brain that he can come up with in the shower. Thinks albums sound better on vinyl. Collector of useless trivia and references. Puns a plenty.
