Gotta write ’em all! The upcoming Pokemon film has reportedly found its writing team. According to Comic Book Resources, Legendary Studios has found the two that they feel would be best to write the film, which will focus on Detective Pikachu (who is, if you do not know, an electric mouse type Pokemon.)

Legendary is reportedly in negotiations to hire Nicole Perlman (“Guardians of the Galaxy”) and Alex Hirsch (“Gravity Falls”) to pen the upcoming film adaptation.

The Pokemon live-action film has been in the news for quite some time. We had been following the story involving the long bidding war which ended with Legendary gaining the rights to the project.

For some background on the Pikachu character that will take the central part of the film, it’s important to note that “the character of Detective Pikachu — a talking, mystery-solving version of the iconic Pokemon — starred in the Japan-only Nintendo 3DS game “Great Detective Pikachu.” An English version of the game has been petitioned by fans since the Japanese release.” So, English audiences have not seen this up close and personal, so what better way to introduce it than in film form! We think that the folks behind Guardians of the Galaxy and Gravity Falls are the right people for the job!
