Rick Riordan has delighted audiences with the adventures of Percy Jackson and his demigod companions for well over 10 years now. While he has expanded his universe to explore different world mythos and introduce new and engaging characters to serve as role models to young teens everywhere, his attachment to the Greek demigods surfaces again and again. Percy Jackson fans have been waiting excitedly for the upcoming The Trials of Apollo series, a new chapter in Camp Halfblood’s tale that promises reappearances from our favorites in the original and Heroes of Olympus series.

Aside from the powerful messages and widespread inclusion that Riordan manages to instill into his novels, the most defining feature is comedy. His books are rife with snark, sarcasm, and a sharp sense of humor. And by the looks of this most excellent trailer, The Hidden Oracle will be no different.

I, for one, cannot wait for the release of this book. Percy Jackson was part of my story during my most formative years, and while I may have grown faster than protagonists of the Halfblood tales, I will always find time to go back to Riordan’s amazing tales.

The Trials of Apollo will be available on May 3rd, 2016. Preorders are open on Amazon, or head to Barnes & Noble for anow exclusive edition featuring a letter from Apollo to Zeus.

Writer. Cosplayer. Binge Netflix Watcher. Anime Dweeb. Book Enthusiast. Harbours inappropriately strong feelings about Shakespeare and William Blake. Once lost a whole day theorizing about Game of Thrones. The most motivated procrastinator she knows. Sometimes it works out in her favor. Mostly just causes widespread panic. It's all good though, because she never forgets her towel.
