For God sake’s man, we’re adults and we best act like adults! We can shove pizza rolls in our face and button mash still, but first we make them delicious and from scratch, we are people not Neanderthals!

So get ready to get your ass kicked by your 13 year old self for not eating homemade pizza rolls sooner, they are THAT good!

  • 1 cup Spaghetti sauce
  • 2 cups shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1  to 1 1/2 cups diced Pepperoni
  • 2 tablespoons Italian Parsley (optional)
  • Wonton Wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Step 1: Dice your Pepperoni and shred your cheese

Step 2: Combine your Pepperoni, Cheese, Sauce, and Italian Parsley(if using) into a bowl and mix, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Step 3: Time to fill! First is get your Wonton Wrappers and lay one out on a plate. Get a teaspoon and spoon out your filling in the center of the wonton, making sure not to over stuff it. Once you have your filling in the center dip your finger tip in water and run it around the edge of the wrapper, this will help it stick together. Fold over one side meeting the center, then fold over the other side overlapping and slightly pressing.  Press together the edges to close it shut. If you would like you can trim the edges but I didn’t. Continue making Pizza Rolls and place them seam side down on a baking sheet.

Step 4: Place the Pizza Rolls into the freezer for up to 30 minutes.

Step 5: When ready to fry take out the baking sheet from the freezer and bring a pot of enough oil to 350 F. Once up to temperature slowly add the pizza rolls into pan turning them over a few time until golden brown about 2-3 minutes. Drain on plate lines with paper towel or cooling rack. Alternately if you would like to bake them, set your over at 400 F, spray a baking sheet then arrange your pizza rolls then spray the top. Bake them for 11 minutes, flipping them over at the 6 minute mark. Cook until they are golden brown and yummy!

  1. Love this idea. The store bought ones can have super gross additives, but you can basically put whatever you want in them this way.
