Image Comics: Where Creators Own Sci-Fi

 Androids, geneticists, time travel, multidimensional space hopping-the possibilities are endless when it comes to science fiction and comics. Becky Cloonan (Southern Cross),Fred Van Lente (Howtoons: [Re]Ignition), and Dustin Nguyen (Descender) specialize in bringing to life futuristic worlds that comics readers can instantly be transported to. Building the Modern (Super)Heroine

 With Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel finally set to hit the big screen, female superheroes are on everyone’s mind. What do creators and fans want out of a powerful female protagonist? How do we pay tribute to the heroines of the past while still looking toward the future? What’s the difference between writing established heroines and creating your own, and how can we best position and support these characters to usher in a whole new era of totally badass superheroines? A dynamic group of writers, editors, and expert commentators discuss the challenges of building modern heroines in a variety of mediums. With Cecil Castellucci (Stone in the Sky),Becky Cloonan (Gotham Academy), Sarah Kuhn (Heroine Complex), Andrea Letamendi(psychologist, Arkham Sessions ), Jose Molina (Agent Carter), and Babs Tarr (Batgirl). Spotlight on Len Wein

At one time or another, Len Wein has written almost all the major characters for most major publishers. He launched Swamp Thing, The New X-Men, Wolverine and so many more. here is your chance to hear one of comics’ most prolific creative talents discuss his career and work, all while being grilled by longtime friend, Mark Evanier. Sizzling revelations are promised. (1:30pm – 2:30pm Room 208)

Honest Trailers & Screenjunkies: Honest WonderCon

Learn the secrets behind the team who make the online satirical sensation Honest Trailers. Series creator Andy Signore, writer Spencer Gilbert, editor Dan Murrell, and ScreenJunkies favorites Hal Rudnick and Nick Mundy will show off an exclusive sneak peek of an upcoming Honest Trailer, debut a WonderCon Anaheim exclusive video, get into a live Movie Fight, and offer more special surprises for the ScreenJunkies faithful! (2:30pm – 3:30pm Room 300DE)

WonderCon Anaheim Talk Back

Another WonderCon Anaheim is over, so come and share your highs and lows of the weekend. Bring your questions and experiences-all are welcome! (4:30pm – 5:00pm Room 208)

One of these Nerds doing Stuff. Can be found drinking cider on the weekends, and attempting to sing any Disney song in his brain that he can come up with in the shower. Thinks albums sound better on vinyl. Collector of useless trivia and references. Puns a plenty.
