Wayward Pines

Join star Jason Patric (Rush, Sleepers) and Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond, Amistad) and executive producers M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, The Visit), Donald De Line (Green Lantern, The Italian Job), Ashwin Rajan (Devil, The Visit), and international bestselling author/executive producer Blake Crouch, for a sneak peek at the second chapter of this psychological thriller events series. Season two picks up with the residents of Wayward Pines battling against the iron-fisted rule of the First Generation. Jason Patric portrays Dr. Theo Yedlin, a new resident of Wayward Pines, who awakens from suspended animation and finds himself in the middle of this rebellion as he tries to understand what Wayward Pines really is and help preserve the endangered human race. Hounsou portrays CJ Mitchum, an original resident and a historian for the town with extensive knowledge of its complex origins, and the one person who can provide a unique bridge between the current world of Wayward Pines and the previous world that humans inhabited. Produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television, Wayward Pines returns to FOX this summer. Screening to be followed by a panel discussion and fan Q&A.

Millennium Falcon, X-Wings, and TIE Fighters: Creating the VFX for The Force Awakens

Star Wars: The Force Awakens VFX supervisor Roger Guyett, HALON Entertainment’s Brad Alexander (pre-visualization supervisor), and A. J. Briones (post-visualization supervisor) will take you inside the creation of one of Episode VII’s unforgettable fight scenes from concept and shooting to final VFX; including behind-the-scenes material. They will also discuss the creative process and what it means to bring Star Wars to life for a new generation.

How do you create and sustain a business that caters to the geek lifestyle without exploiting the very people to whom you provide services? Join this panel of entrepreneurs, whose traditional businesses cater to a predominantly nerdy or geeky clientele. Panelists Matthew Arevalo (Loot Crate), Donna Ricci (Geeky Teas, formerly Clockwork Couture), Janelle Badali (Badali Jewelry), and David Nett(Nerdstrong Gym) discuss how these businesses started, and how they sustain their service to their clientele in the face of mass-market exploitation of geekdom. How do you compete with the giant corporate conglomerates that have suddenly discovered the geek marketplace?
